KoH T presents at Nordic Helsinki Fashion Week

KoH T participated in Helsinki Fashion Week 2021 Spring Summer.
(hereinafter referred to as HFW) HFW is known as the cutting edge fashion week for sustainability in Scandinavia.
15 brands are selected from around the world based on unique evaluation criteria.
As it was not possible to actually travel to Helsinki, we decided to hold the presentation in the form of a new 3D digital fashion show, after much discussion between the designers and HFW staff, in order to better convey the message.
This time, we have also collaborated specially with Japanese textile artists, the Nordic Finnish sustainable fiber company Spinnova, the 3D digital technology team DIGITAL VILLAGE, and 3D designer Yifan.
The Appeal of HFW - The World's Most Sustainable Fashion Week

Since last year (2019), it has been the first time that fashion week has imposed restrictions on leather and fur, and all materials used have been produced under the rule of sharing. We at KoH T have, of course, not used these materials, and instead worked on creating a collection using more sophisticated fibers and deadstock fabrics.

What sets it apart from other fashion weeks

Typically, fashion weeks held around the world are limited to models, influencers, and industry insiders, and it is difficult for ordinary consumers to participate , but this fashion week allows anyone to take part through the screen.
And not only can you participate as an audience member of the fashion show, but you can also watch a discussion session held a week before the show where designers who want to change the fashion industry gather. This means you can not only see fashion visually, but also take part in an event that deepens your understanding of the ideas of each designer.
It's a live format where you can send comments and questions via chat and have your questions answered on the spot, allowing you to communicate with the host.
If there was anything you were curious about during the talk sessions with designers from around the world, you could ask the designers, sustainable fiber companies, 3D designers, and others directly, making it a fashion week that truly gave you a more up-close and personal experience of the live show.

The talk session gave us the opportunity to learn about the thoughts of fashion experts and designers about the future of sustainability, an issue that is still not well understood.
